"Come Find Out How Our Math Efforts are Adding Up!"

Hosted by Superintendent Rose Ellis and Principal Steve Johnson

Join us to hear about the strategies we are using to better differentiate and target math instruction for our students. We will discuss math grouping, technology, after-school opportunities, as well as the transition to middle school math at Mt. Greylock.  Joelle Brookner, 6th grade teacher, will also participate.

 

MGRHS Feasibility Study to Consider Joining the Williamstown-Lanesborough School Union 71

There will be a Community Forum on this Study on Tuesday, February 9th, at MGRHS at 6:00pm. This meeting is open to parents, staff at WES and community members.

 

Preliminary Budget Information Presented at January 13th School Committee Meeting.

Superintendent, Rose Ellis, and Business Manager, Jennifer Coscia, provided a preliminary report on the status of the FY11 School Budget. The FY11 Budget is predicated on a 5% reduction in state aid (Chapter 70) and a 0% increase in the town appropriation. Click here for details -- FY11 January Budget Narrative.

 

School Committee Approves RFP from the Williamstown Youth Center

Following a Public Hearing on December 16th to solicit community input on the possible construction of a Youth Center on the grounds of WES, the School Committee voted unanimously to approve the RFP submitted by the Williamstown Youth Center for a ground lease and for the private development of a Youth Center on the campus of the Williamstown Elementary School.
