Advanced Learners Talent Search

Receiving an advanced scored on the ELA and/or math MCAS, qualifies your child for the John's Hopkins Talent Search.  There are other similar distance learning programs that have a wide variety of offerings for children wishing to extend and deepen their learning outside of the traditional school hours and walls.  Follow the links below for more information.

 

John's Hopkins Talent Search

Although and advanced MCAS score earns a student an invitation to the CTY talent search, participation in actual CTY programming requires the student take the SCAT test at a designated testing center.  CTY offers a range of opportunities for children in grades 2 and up - distance learning and summer camps.  The school code for the CTY application is 0126722.

 

Northwestern University's Gifted Learning Links

A variety of standardized test scores are acceptable for admission to GLL programs.  Unique to GLL are family programs for children in grades K - 2.  GLL also offers online courses as well as extracurricular clubs.

 

Stanford University's Education Program for Gifted Youth

 EPGY offers online courses for students as young as kindergarten.  They accept a variety of standardized test scores for admission to their programs, and for math and some science courses, acceptance is based solely on a free, online aptitude test.
