Community Volunteer Program

WES has an active community volunteer program coordinated by the PTO and school staff. Parents and community members volunteer in a number of areas throughout the school. Volunteer areas include the Computer Lab, Cafeteria, Recess and Library Help and Tutoring. Please look at our Volunteer Interest Form for more details. We are always looking for additional parents and community members who are willing to commit their time (~ 1-2 hours/week) to working with our children on an on-going basis at school. Training is provided for all volunteer areas.

All volunteers will need to submit a CORI form.

  • Able to recognize the child's need to improve self-image and independent learning habits
  • Willing to communicate regularly with the staff, expressing concerns and questions with teacher or supervisor
Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Volunteers will telephone the school if he/she is unable to attend at the scheduled time
  • Volunteers will sign in and out in the school office and wear name tags while visiting the school building
  • Volunteers will keep all student information confidential
