Grade Level Parents

The Role of the Grade Parent 

Grade parents are at-large members of the PTO and serve as a link between the PTO and the entire grade.

  • Grade parents will work with the grade coordinator, the principal, as well as room parents
  • They will help identify or manage grade-wide needs
  • They will help coordinate grade-wide volunteers and events
  • They will create and circulate an email newsletter as needed
  • They can forward to the PTO initiatives or needs of classroom teachers
