The building is 180’ long by 86’ wide at its maximums with a 12,500 SF footprint not including porches.

There is a proposed porch and two additional potential porches. The proposed west entry porch is 740 SF. The two potential east porches are 375 SF and 425 SF.

The total proposed building area including porches is 14,040 SF.

At its special meeting on January 19, 2011, the School Committee unanimously approved the approximate location and orientation of the proposed youth center building (to include the gym oriented to the north) as depicted on the site plan for Option 3 dated December 2010 (see link below), with a footprint not to exceed 15,000 s.f. as required under the RFP.

recommendations for the location of the proposed youth center building in determining playground location are any location along the south parking lot drop-off lane, but not at the corner of the drop-off lane and School Street, with flexibility in the configuration of the proposed youth center building
