How to Submit to WES News
Do you have news to share with WES students and families? We invite and encourage you to use WES News to spread the word.
For school-related news,
send a few sentences with need-to-know information (date, time, location, contact info) to WESNews@williamstownelementary.org. Please keep submissions very brief. Submissions must be received by the end of the school day on Tuesday to be published that week. Acceptance and priority are based on immediacy, audience size, and order received. Articles may run from week to week depending on the amount of new material that comes in.
For information from outside the school,
the Williamstown Elementary School Committee has established strict rules about what may or may not be published in the newsletter. This opportunity is for events and activities that support educational, recreational, cultural, and social interests of our children and their families.
Any outside group that wishes to distribute information to the school community must submit a very brief article to Principal Joelle Brookner at JBrookner@williamstownelementary.org and cc: WESNews@williamstownelementary.org by the Friday prior to publication. The principal will decide whether the material is appropriate based on criteria outlined in School Committee Policy #7501. Proof of not-for-profit status may be requested. Announcements will run for one week unless other arrangements are made with the principal’s office. The administration reserves the right to control the content of these listings. Such publicity will not constitute the school’s sponsorship or endorsement of the activities or organizations being served, and this will be clearly stated in the newsletter.
